  • New jigsaw puzzle choices

When I first started doing these puzzles, before I registered, I was getting lots of really neat and colorful puzzles, like Easter eggs, colored pencils, crayons, etc. I LOVE bright and colorful. Now, I get none of those from which to choose. I get lots of dead fish, mountains scenes that many look the same, statues..........Many of the same one pop up over and over and over. I really would like to know how to get a different variety of puzzles from which to choose.

    Any help is appreciated. THANKS!!!!!!

i have the same problem. i think when you do a puzzle it doesn't come up again. so you finished doing the colourful puzzles. i like colourful puzzles too, easier and nicer to look at.

I was thinking the same thing, but I am seeing several that I have already completed. I get so many of dead fish! Good grief! I have been doing lots that I don't are for, hoping new ones will appear. Every once in a while, I will get a new one.

Is there any way to submit photos for puzzles? I have tons of colorful photos I've taken over the last several years that I could submit.

            Hi Puzzlehead,
Here is the reply posted by Admin when this idea came up before.

"That's not a bad idea for a future update - right now we're not well set-up for this, as there are very strict regulations on image usage. We can only use an image for a puzzle if it is (a) public domain, (b) licensed as "creative commons" with attribution or (c) is sent to us by the copyright owner with explicit permission to use it for that purpose.
We may in the future add a way for users to upload their own photos, we just need to get the legal aspect of it squared away first.
            Thanks for playing!
            Stephen"

It sounds like you have a wonderful collection. I hope we do get to solve puzzles from your photos in the future.

By the way, this "(c) is sent to us by the copyright owner with explicit permission to use it for that purpose." fits me. All photos I'd send would be ones I took, no people included, and I would give explicit permission to use them for the puzzles. I sent some to Prismapix some years ago, and they created a puzzle pack using just my photos.

                  Amazing!

Why don't you contact Admin and check it out? You can rely on Stephen for a reply. At the very bottom right-hand corner of the home page, you can fill in a message window for sending an email to him.

                  Good luck! Share the outcome.

Will do. Thanks, Bluenote! (And I really appreciate the information on how to send the note - I'm still very new here.)

If you can get public domain photos of hot air balloon festivals, surely there are public domain of kite contests, sky-diving, circus parades, tourist promotions for carnivals around the world....lots more of color and not so many bugs, please.
