I tried "reclass" and it was rejected. I've probably seen that verb used a few thousand times in all kinds of contexts. I didn't check, but I would imagine that if "reclass" isn't allowed, then "reclassed", "reclassing", "reclasses" and similar derivations aren't, either. I've seen all of them, too. Example: "This specimen was classed as Avia, in error. I will reclass it as Canida." Example: "I will reclass this as an accident. It was definitely not mechanical failure."

Has anyone else found a similar "re-" form rejected?

I've seen "reclassify," but I don't think I've ever seen "reclass."

Just go to google and ask for the definition of "reclass". Yes, I've also seen "reclassify".

To be authorized to reclass or reenlist for a new MOS, there must be a "Y" under the "In" column of the MOS the soldier wishes to reclass or re-enlist into, regardless of promotable status.

It's also used in accounting. That's why I was so surprised to find it rejected. It's all over the place.
