  • Two Holiday Wit Twisters

    Dear Friends,

Here are two holiday Wit Twisters.

Each of the missing words in #8 is an anagram of the same seven letters. (By coincidence, the Wit Twister in last Saturday’s New York Times used six of those letters in their own Christmas-themed WT.)

    At Christmas, Mom _ _ _ _ _ _ _ the family:
    Dad and I hang lights; Sister _ _ _ _ _ _ _ the tree.
We put on a favorite movie (one without violence).
    If no one _ _ _ _ _ _ _ , that’s okay – after all, films started as “_ _ _ _ _ _ _ .”

Wit Twister #9 was inspired by Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.”

    Greed _ _ _ _ _ the heart of _ _ _ _ _ Scrooge
    Who dwells in _ _ _ _ _ of subterfuge
    Till three wise ghosts, _ _ _ _ _ of verity
Guide his way to love and charity.

Scroll down for the answer to WT #7.

    Happy Holidays!

    Stuart

That MANTEL photo of a long-lost face?
Within you lives her innocence and grace.
