Is it possible that someone uses a puzzle solving software to get such incredibly low solve times?
As far as wondering how someone can complete a puzzle so quickly - There is software that helps to solve puzzles quickly - such as PuzzleSolver 2019
My response:
To insinuate that all of the people who have the quickest solve times are cheating is absurd, because there are a lot of players with low solve times.
In general, all of the quickest puzzle solvers prefer the 96 piece with rotation puzzles (except for me apparently). There are many players who do this configuration of puzzle that I cannot beat. I do not think they are cheating. They have just found a quicker way to solve the puzzle than I can.
Puzzle Baron has supplied various tools to aid the solver in completing the puzzles in a timely fashion. They include 1) showing only the edge pieces, 2) showing only the middle pieces, 3) showing a preview of the picture, and 4) changing the color of the background. Another thing that I personally do is readjust the size of the window while solving the puzzle (I use a computer). Combining all of these tools can make a big difference in solve times.
We all have different motivations for doing the jigsaw puzzles (relaxation, exercise the brain, challenge oneself, read goya's comments, obtain a high monthly score, enjoy the picture, etc.), so we all choose different configurations and solve at different speeds. There is no right or wrong.
I don't understand the motivation behind using puzzle solving software. Then you wouldn't be doing the puzzle. How is that fun? And that's why we're all here, isn't it? To have fun?
