Pencil Mark & Errors

Is there some way to not have 'fix errors' take away pencil marks? If I've got 3 numbers in a square, it's because I haven't figured out what goes there yet, but when I check for errors to make sure my actual numbers are correct, it deletes the 'incorrect' pencil marks and docks me 60 seconds per number. Is there a way this can be fixed? It's like docking points for taking notes.

It deletes the 'incorrect' marks ONLY if the correct number is not* penciled in. If you are unsure of a spot, just put all 'remaining' possible numbers in the box.
