Timer doesn't pause when saving game

When I was called away I saved my game BUT when I returned to finish the game it told me I took over 3000 seconds.
Not very helpful really, surely it would be better if the timer was saved as well as the game.

Still not pausing the timer. Last saved game - returned 15 minutes later - added onto time.

I think they do this so that people don't cheat. Start puzzle>screenshot>pause>solve puzzle>un-pause>fill in answer>record time! Tough for people who need to pause and come back later, but whatcha gonna do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
