In this puzzle, I think the clues would support a solution in which Micah and Olive switched rooms. The relevant clue is "The fewest doors Brody could pass through to reach Olive's room was exactly 2." To me, "fewest" reads as Brody being able to reach Olive by passing through 2 or more doors. So Olive could just as easily be in the Larder, where Brody would have passed through 4 doors to get to her.

"fewest is 2" is different from "fewest is exactly 2". When it mentions exactly, it means that any other number of doors is not valid - it has to be 2. -
It's the phrase "exactly 2" that means it can't be 3 or more doors.
The reason they use the word "fewest" in these clues is because there are many instances where there are multiple paths from one room/suspect to another. By specifying the "fewest doors", they mean "take the shortest, most direct path."
For example, in your puzzle, Julia has multiple routes to reach Ethan.
She can go Spa --> Salon --> Library --> Pantry (3 doors)
She can go Spa --> Studio --> Library --> Pantry (3 doors)
She can go Spa --> Salon --> Library --> Alcove --> Pantry (4 doors)
She can go Spa --> Studio --> Library --> Atrium --> Workshop --> Sauna --> Pantry (6 doors)
There are several other paths she can take to reach Ethan.
But the fewest number of doors she can go through is exactly 3. There is no shorter path (2 doors or 1 door) she can take. And any longer path would not qualify as "the fewest".Comment

Ah, thank you! I thought it might be something I just wasn't understanding. Feel like the word "fewest" should be removed, but now that I know the parameters, I'll understand the clues better.Comment
