New to crptograms - Need help with K1 K2 ciphers

Science Olympiad I'm guessing? The puzzles on this site are neither K1 nor K2, but you can certainly use these to train. I always found it was faster just to solve the K1s and K2s as normal cryptograms and just use the K1 and K2 properties if I got stuck.
My advice is to start memorizing contractions (two letter = I'm, I'd; three letter = it's, he's, we'd, he'd; three letter = don't, can't, won't, isn't, man's, one's, etc.) and other common patterns (there, nothing, always, people, science). The most important thing is practice. As you get better, your intuition will be stronger than any algorithm, at least in my experience.
