" —Charles Sidney Burwell of Harvard Medical School once said, "Half of what we are going to teach you is wrong, and half of it is right. Our problem is that we don't know which half is which." Today, it's more like, half of the news you hear is wrong, and whether you know that it's the half that you hear from the news media or the half that you hear from conspiracy theory bloggers depends on what political party you belong to.."

If a person believes they know something, they will defend that belief rather than challenging their own belief, unless they have a very open mind and a willingness to admit having an invalid bit of information. #AllMindsMatter"

Definitely me, though I don't recall meeting him. I hope I was polite.

Anyone who has read a few of imsoeasy's comments will know that he holds some strong opinions. His response to this satirical quote is very moving.

I found one. I've seen better, but hopefully, this will get the ball rolling.

    Quotable Comments

I was just writing a comment and was quite pleased with a bit I put in and wondered if somebody would respond to that bit. It made me wonder how many people have come across comments that are much more profound than the original quote and are worthy of quote status on its own. I'm hoping this will become a long lasting topic that people add to now and then, not a 'flash in the pan' with a bunch of generic replies and then dies out. I'm not going to include my original bit because it isn't profound enough to be included here, plus it would take too much to explain and add context.
