I would think you'd have to have a very good setup in terms of download , keyboard, etc. The instant the crypt hits the screen the person would almost recognize it at once, and start typing, and it would help if there are alot of repeated letters.

Every field, including codebreaking, has its geniuses. Our job is to marvel at them, not to resent them.

As for physical impossibility: I am not a genius, but I've solved a few cryptograms in 5 seconds. It's totally possible. It also takes a natural talent for this particular type of puzzle -- for example, I'm fast at cryptograms, but the Puzzle Baron logic puzzles take me forever.
