    Most Grossly Misattributed Quote

    Friends,

I'm not sure who said this originally, I think I remember hearing it from a comic in the '60, but the quote was "How do I get to Carnegie Hall? Practice. Practice. Practice." It was attributed to Saadi, who Wikipedia tells me was a 13th century Persian poet. Maybe he was also a seer??

Who in the hall do you want

I see it attributed here to a song by one Jose Duarte.

Watch the video for How Do I Get to Carnegie Hall? from Sparks's Lil' Beethoven for free, and see the artwork, lyrics and similar artists.

However, I couldn't say for certain that he is the original author of the quote. Perhaps he stole that bit of intellectual property for his song

      OK

From what I could google and search etc etc that quote should be atrributed to one of the two following comics:

      Jack Benny or Henny Youngman

      circa 1940's - 1950's

As it is a one-liner so to speak I would go with Youngman, however Jack did play the violin...so the plot as they thickens

As for Saadi...not a chance in the world
