Anyone else have a piss-poor internet connection? Where you solve a puzzle in less than half a minute, press the check button, and then the congratulations screen pops up a minute later saying it took you a minute and a half to solve the puzzle? Guess I won't be shooting for bansai's fast fingers spot any time soon

If you are using an antivirus program, such as AVG ...it slows down this site drastically. There are options to disable avg for certain web pages, again it leaves you open for mischief but if you are a die hard solver you might want to look into other antivirus programs. Avira, Avast ...AVG uses huge amounts of your processors resources, its an excellent protector but it slows this site down enormously. Whether in IE8 or FF. You might want to look into trying Google Chrome. Its basic. No frills however it works well here.
