Last night I attempted to open the "Play" page in my browser. It partially loaded -- the banner and menu -- then stalled. I waited 5 minutes, then gave up and closed the browser. Today I see that I was charged with not solving a puzzle. My question is, what should I have done differently?

if it happens again i would go to homepage then try opening it again. if it opens you can go to recent games and try to solve if you're going for success rate rather than time hope that helps

Ah! Thanks. I'd never looked at Recent Games until now.

The game may not be there Because The list only includes games attempted in the last 60 minutes.

          Hi

          Its been happening repeatedly today.
          Server problems.

I stop the loading by hitting the x in my browser.
then reload, best to solve whatever puzzle pops up, then check recent games.

Keep checking the recent games list. It holds puzzles for two hours.

Its a pain, but my page just hung there for minutes at a time.

I have been having similiar issues. my server shut down when I hit submit. it happened in april, and I lost my 100% success rate. I learned about the recent games feature ,but then this month my internet server shut down for most of the day. it was out all over the county. I checked with friends, even went to the library, to no avail. oh well, a perfect score was not meant to be this month. even with server problems, this site rocks, thanks for providing a great site.

Yikes, an entire County without internet service? If you want to compete, it's still early in the month. Pick points or speed as your focus. You may find it's kind of liberating when you're not stressing over the 100%.

Or, you can start a second account and play that for the rest of the month as your 100. I keep LurkerSmurf on the side when I want to switch the kind of competition I'm playing or don't want to lose a speed trophy.

my wife suggested the same thing, but I figured I would rather build on my overall points standing. you are right though, it takes the pressure off, so I can just have fun. my speed is getting better, but I don't know how to type, and I spend more time searching the key board . my competitive side kicks in, and I start stressing over what should be a relaxing game.

                  can't focus on speed

I get really stressed out when I try to lower my speed.
