Year after year Greenleaf and Siana's love had kept the Evil at bay, and over the centuries ensuing, their love had permeated all of the unions between Queen and man, and Opal... the Lady of the Lake... had done her utmost to assist them in their endeavor. And for many years the love that they reflected throughout the centuries had restricted the powers of the Evil Empress.

But now there came a time of un-committed love, and Opal had almost reached the end of her powers, when Hugh and Annette Greenleaf appeared and she had hopes for the future. She wished that she could do something....anything...to help them realize that love and remove the idol from the hands of EVIL.


Ah. but there IS something that she can do......

If only she had thought of it earlier this story would have been much less long-winded!

Defying all laws of probability and logic, the glow that surrounded Annette continued to grow. "Stop the car!" Annette screamed in fear.

Unnerved himself, Hugh complied at the end of the off-ramp. Annette jumped out of the car, the glow following her.

"It's the idol!" Hugh called at her. "Get rid of the statue!"

Annette tossed the golden totem on the grass. The glow did, indeed, follow it. Soon, they could both see the golden aura coalesce into the form of a woman.

Nearby, the Evil Empress watches in horror as Opal, the lady of the Lake shimmers to life in the golden glow from the idol

Evil was defeated simply by the power of love that spanned eons. As the descendants of Siana and Greenleaf the Good embraced, the form never coalesced. It simply evaporated and the idol vanished with it.
