  • Monthly Contest rules?

I played 99 games last month and had a success rate of 100%. The top 20 for december includes people with less than 100% success rate. Why? Do you need to have played a certain number of games to get ranked? If so, where does it say this?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

You have to be in the top twenty to get a ribbon or trophy.

Look at the top of each scores page right above the scores box itself it explains it there.

      Thanks for the reply Pootie!

That's what I'm confused about though... I WAS in the top 20... or I should have been is what I'm saying. My 100% success rate was better than 17th places 99.98%. That's why I was wondering if there was some further criteria for being considered. And it is clear from the list of winners that some of the top 20 fastest solvers didn't place in the top 20 for overall score.

So I'm still confused why my 100% wasn't good enough

        Paradia,

You said you played only 99 games in the month. Did you earn enough points to be in the top 100 for the month? Then, only the top 50 point earners are ranked for 100% or speed. That confused me the first month I played.

It does explain it on the contest pages. This is the short version.

Ahhh THAT's what I looking for. I figured there was some sort of cut off for points but it's not on the rank-displaying pages but didn't know what it was. Now that they only show the top 20, how do we get a sense of what the points needed for top 50 are? I guess I could go check old months - I seem to remember it just being a list of people for the earlier months.

Look at High Scores...after only 6 days the top 50 this month are already at 100+ games played.

              Paradia:

OK, that's the second thing I didn't know how to do the first month I played. Click on "High Scores" at the top of any page on the site. Then, there are two kinds of high scores listed. The one on the left is "All-Time Rankings". Click on the words "Monthly Competitions". That will take you to the top 100 by points for the month.

Before personal stats were streamlined, that was also the place to find out your % and average speed. Now you can just go to "My Scores" and use the "This Month" tab to see how you're doing if you're not on the top 100 page.

Which brings me back to a suggestion about our "my scores" page and adding one
row for our current ranking for the month.
If I remember correctly only the lifetime rankings are given not the current.
That's just one of those piddly complaints Stephen but still it would be handy.
                I think.
                Thanks.
