Who Nu? I have known for a long time that this is the BEST SITE to compete in, where else are you going to compete month in and month out and find yourself clueless one day with a puzzle and ask for help, only to have someone like maradnu, pootie, Lily, gryhnd51, LiveLoveLaugh and Lurker, stop what they are doing and help you out? No where else, that's where, only here are the competitors confident enough to help you out, and now you know also, thank-you again, wm aka

I'm just awestruck in general. After years solving the cryptos in the newspaper, I thought I was pretty good. When I got here and saw that top 10 line up, I was blown away. I had the same reaction a lot of newcomers have. Thinking there must be a trick. Realized that there was no trick, and that I was in the presence of Crypto greatness.

Then when you look in at the chat room and see those same people being kind and friendly and offering to help it really does blow you away.

I learn something new all the time when I play on this site. I use a wireless mouse, and the battery went dead last night while I was in the middle of a puzzle. I went to the drawer where the extra batteries are kept and found that there were no more AAs. Yikes, I was frantic because I couldn't remember where I had packed away the regular mouse. I was at a loss until I had an aha moment and took the battery out of the TV remote which I always have beside my computer. Today I went out and bought more batteries. This is just a suggestion for those of you who are as obsessed as I am about keeping your 100% and use a wireless mouse and suddenly find yourselves with a dead mouse.

I finally gave up on the wireless mouse. It ate batteries by the dozens and always seemed to have something wrong with it.

I have a Logitech wireless mouse, and the battery lasts for at least several months. I unplug it from the USB port on my computer every night and put it on the back of the mouse, which turns it off. If you leave it plugged in to the computer all the time, the mouse stays on even if you're not using it, and that decreases the life of the battery. I've had no trouble with my mouse.

Thanks Lily, but that's what we had. It just couldn't cope with the huge amounts of time my husband spends on the computer on top of my couple of hours a day.
