Here is a puzzle code i created and was wondering if anyoe could solve it

    1 24 16 11 25 __ 2 22 14 19 __ 3 22 6 14 19 1 6 25 __ 4 19 13 __ 2 18 3 26 21 3

    6 8 13 10 25 12 17 __ 6 26 18 23 __ 6 1 26 21 2 __ 9 24 18 __ 5 25 13 18

    11 9 4 5 24 4, __ 4 24 16 21 ___ 7 23 8 26 6 5 17 ___ 6 26 11 __ 3 23 15 20

    2 10 25 12 7 26 __ 11 26 20__1 21 13 18 __ 19 26 11 7 26 __ 20 22 17 20 5 18 23 4

    21 6 22 21 7.

okay so i see alot of people viewed this but noone has solved it, or even replied that they were trying

i am really hoping people are waiting till they solve it before replying, which if that is the case could u reply saying u are working on it

what i fear is happening is people thik they are soo smart and this looks so easy that they are not even considering it, if this is true the solve it and reply to show how superior u are in solving this puzzle

i really hope people are not so stuck up here intellectually that im dealing with a bunch of sheldons instead of a group of leonards

Um, insulting people is no way to get help. Since you're being a jerk, I hope no one solves your puzzle for you.

im sorry for being a jerk its just that i thought someone would make some kind of comment on it i see its been viwed but no replys at all i was frustrated i just didnt know what kind of people i was dealing with, so i figured maybe goading the smart ones who may have overlooked this thinking it was too simple for them would work. anyway, i just wanted to see how long it would take smart people to figure this out.

First off, Lurker is right, insulting people isnt a way to get anything solved.
Secondly, we have a lot of people who come in here with can you solve this
posts and usually we end up solving someones school exam or homework
or contest or whatever. How about you solve it?
Show us the solve. Its been almost a week. No one is that interested because
and this is hard to suss out BUT they are busy solving cryptograms in a
          competition.
And they actually are playing more than two games and solving more than one.

          Srsly. Show us the solve.

Finally, you arent 'dealing with' anyone, you are butting into a forum and
being rude and obnoxious. And the people on this site, are not, from
my experience, that conceited that they wouldnt deign to solve something
in a post. Chances are they just cant be bothered and now due to your
complete lack of class and etiquette I suspect they wont solve it.

i didnt think about competitions but i thought not everyuone who uses this site would be professionals, i thought with as many people who have viewed it that someone at somepoint wouldve said something about trying to solve it. i made the code its is not homework or for a contest or anything else, its not that hard i was just hoping someone would come along and be like well this looks easy then when they tried to solve it they would see how not easy it was, or if it was easy they would saolve it and say so.

im sorry i didnt realize how many people were busy with the puzzles in competitions and such, i thought this was just a place for puzzle solvers to like talk to each other and try to challenge each other. as i said i was frustrated that with over 100 views and noone said anything, i thought they were being snobbish, i mean if you were new and didnt understandeverything and did thid wouldnt you get a little upset at seeing your stuff being viewed but not commented on?

              great expectations

              Malcairad -

While it was a nice gesture to create a puzzle, your frustration lies in your having expected a response that you didn't get.

Think of it this way: Your initial post was only three days ago. Not everyone who does these puzzles looks at the threads. Among those that look at the threads, few respond, or join the conversation. There may have been people working on it, but they would probably have had to copy it, and paste it, and print it, and then work on it. For whatever reason, you took it personally no one had yet made a comment to your post. You then lost patience and posted a rather insolent follow-up.

Now, unfortunately, you're getting pretty much the opposite of what you were seeking.

              Here's a quote for you:

If you expect nothing from anybody, you're never disappointed. - Sylvia Plath

Good luck in your future endeavors

                systematic and rewarding

The reason I love solving cryptograms is that it is challenging and often rewarding, usually yielding a quote that is interesting or enlightening.

For example, here is one I just solved: "It is astonishing what an effort it seems to be for many people to put their brains definitely and systematically to work. " — Thomas Edison

I use my brain in a systematic way to solve cryptograms.

Look, a single short-ish message without any clues as to the encryption algorithm can be difficult to impossible to resolve. Post the solution and (hopefully for you) receive kudos on such a clever code.

yeah i was/am an idiot, i lost my temper but the code is solved by subtracting the numbers from each other to find the number which is the letter for example the first word is WHEN

Well, I don't feel you're an idiot at all. That's fairly clever and as I said before - with just the one message, no clues about subject matter, and no clues about encryption algorithm - these things can be very difficult. Perhaps you should just assume no one here could solve it.

I don't feel like you're an idiot. As I said before, these things can be very difficult without multiple messages, some idea of the content (guess some words), and/or some idea of the algorithm used. I think you can assume no one could solve this.

Hey, Fred! How many times are you going to reply! Are you getting competitive about number of forum posts?

I solved the puzzle but you actually had a couple words misspelled that would have made this a pain had you not given the clue.

2nd row, last word, 2nd letter is wrong
5th row, 3rd letter is wrong

Just stumbled upon this site, not sure if it would be socially acceptable to post the solution.

                            Interesting quote though.

                              do it!

i wish someone would, just to bring it full circle---i had no idea what it was all about to begin with, and no interest in trying to solve it.
