    Foreign Cryptography

I wanted to ask if anyone here has any links to any articles or useful information on cryptography as it applies to foreign languages. I would specifically like information about anything concerning German cryptography.

Also, if anyone has a good link on gematria, abjad, etc., that would be appreciated too! Thanks...

Aside from Le Monde carrying a daily cryptogram on its website, can't help you. Anyone around here speak a foreign language well enough to do a crypto in it?

      Gematria

I don't think that I could do a cryptogram in another language, but I do know gematria.
You have to know some Hebrew to use gematria.
Each letter in the Hebrew alphabet has a numerical value.
Gematria is used to add up the 'value' of a word or words.
A word or words of equal 'value' can then be explained to have a connection since they add up to the same total.
