    The stats column

I have a question about the stats column. I noticed there are some numbers not
included in there. Does that mean those numbers can't be used in solving the
puzzle? Somebody please explain that to me. It confuses me. I realize it refers to how many time a letter is used but as an example of (A), it was left out, so do I not use that
    in the puzzle?:

Only the letters that are actually in the puzzle are listed in the stats column.

I never even noticed that column before! But now that I have…I just had one puzzle in which A was listed as 5 in the stats column, but it only appeared once in the puzzle. And the next puzzle had two or three Os, and O wasn't in the stats column at all. I wonder if it's like the time clock on this site - not very consistent?

Time for my usual complaint about 'remaining' letters. Doesn't work right.

The state are counts for the substitute letters not the letters in the actual quote.
