    Has the scoring changed?

I've been away for a while. Has something changed about the scoring? It used to be that shorter quotes gave you more points, and now it seems to be the opposite. It was always a very rough measure of difficulty, but it's true that shorter quotes are harder, so I don't see why I'm now getting way more points for solving longer quotes.

Sorry if this has already been discussed -- I clicked around in the forum but didn't find anything.

Welcome back, Puffybob! Yes, in 2016 Stephen did a more thorough re-ranking of quote difficulty, based on players' rankings and also on solving data. Here's the thread about it: https://www.cryptograms.org/forum/showthread.php?t=817

Thanks -- I'll check it out! I guess this must have happened while I was still a regular here, and I never noticed . . .
