  • A "Wit Twister" puzzle ala The New York Times

Here’s a “Wit Twister” like the ones Will Shortz runs in The New York Times.
Each missing word is an anagram of the same four letters.

    A _ _ _ _ of thunder shook the tiny plane.
    Quite _ _ _ _, I cried, “We’ll parachute in rain?”
    The trainer mocked my _ _ _ _. I didn’t weep
But steeled myself to close my eyes and _ _ _ _.

I think I got it. I enjoyed that!
A peal of thunder shook the tiny plane.
Quite pale, I cried, "We'll parachute in rain?"
The trainer mocked my plea. I didn't weep
But steeled myself to close my eyes and leap.

Yes! And thanks for the kind words and the "like." I'm hoping to post a holiday-themed Wit Twister this evening or tomorrow, so please look for it. Happy Thanksgiving!
