    imaginary word in quote.

A recent puzzle had the word "peltries" in the quote. There is no such word. It is mean to put quotes with imaginary words in them.

Peltry is a word for a collection of pelts, particularly unprocessed skins. Peltries is the plural. Both are easily found on-line: Merriam-Webster, Oxford Languages, Dictionary.com, and others.
