Feature Request: Maximum Timer (all puzzles)

More than once, I have accidentally left a puzzle ‘running’ for days and then completed it, logging an insanely long time on my stats. This has enough effect on my average solve time that it renders that average useless.

could the system set a reasonably long maximum time for any given solve attempt, no matter how much elapsed time it actually took? I am thinking that this maximum could vary by puzzle type and size.

For example, an hour (3600 sec) should be a good top end for ANY puzzle, but others (such as small Vector ones) could have a much shorter time, like 600 sec.

This would not affect the true speed demons very much, but would help me if I log a days-long time when I am trying to measure my progress in improving times on a given puzzle.

Alternatively a pause button so if I have to leave a puzzle I can pause the timer!

I second this feature, sometimes I need to do something or my sister bugs me and then I log an insanely high time on a puzzle. One time while logged out I recorded a time of ~16400 seconds on a numbergrid puzzle. It would be really nice if we could pause puzzles. I personally don't want there to be a maximum because some people genuinely take over an hour to solve a puzzle, and we would not be able to see their average if there were a cap. I also like seeing the absurdly high average solve time on some puzzles
