Puzzle pieces off the edge of screen

Sometimes I have puzzles that are missing pieces, when I save the puzzle and come back the missing pieces might appear at the edge of the screen and I can drag them back into the work area, but sometimes I cannot. I've tried to re-size the window, full screen it etc. but this doesn't always work. How do you get the rest of the pieces to show when they are off the screen?

Have you tried using zoom in the View menu? Sometimes I have the zoom in too much and even if I re-size the window I cannot see all the pieces until I adjust the zoom.
