I'm new player and median of time is making me mad. Is median important that much?

Hello! I'm new player here. I came here, because of not having access to mobile phone right now, when I played app with similar logic puzzles, but even the easiest here, are not that easy, especially that I'm not native english speaker. I'm young adult, I don't even have 25 years old, but I feel stupid, when I see other's solving time. I don't want any tips, I want to train my brain by myself, but that site is new to me and as I said I have few problems:
    • I'm not native english speaker, so it takes me more time to understand, sometimes I need to use translate.
    • My previous mobile app was easier even or hard level, that's why I'm shocked that I'm doing easy riddle in 600 seconds.
Do you have any good words for me? Should I excercise, excercise and excercise, so I will become better? For now I have only 3 riddles done (It would be four, but my fiance wanted something from me, so I needed to close browser and it showed as losing riddle, so my win rate is lower.

I know here there are probably a lot of older people than me and I'd love to hear some wise advices, but please, don't show me any tricks to do the Logic Puzzles.

    Thank you,
    Venus.

don't worry about median, just have fun and satisfaction that you are solving the riddles despite of linguistic barrier. I'm sure your times will get better in time and I hope that seeing the progress will give you joy. poeple who have these amazingly short solving times probably did hundreds, if not thousands of these puzzles already.

I cannot even imagine trying to do these in second language so you’re already running circles around me regardless of time! Just keep going. Practice makes a huge difference over time.

I have fallen asleep while doing puzzles, resulting in some high-digit 4-figure numbers!

Some of the people on this site have been here for years and practically have the puzzles memorized! You can't beat them quite yet, so just have a good time!

You should be able to pause/save a puzzle and close the tab. On desktop it's one of the options under the grid next to hint and clear errors. You have 6 hours to open it before it counts as a loss. You can find it again under Recent Puzzles in the menu.

The times are for you against yourself. The puzzles have varying completion rates--I measure success by completing puzzles with lower rates of completion. Use the times to measure progress. Some times of day I'm overall faster than other times of day. This helps me know when I'm most valuable for doing hard thinking work, which are my best hours for taking a class, learning something, brainstorming, or writing. Sometimes I save big decisions for when my puzzle times are fastest because I know I'm as clever and creative as I'm going to be.

Read the comments after finishing a puzzle. Some people count how many times they've done the same puzzle over the years, most post scores, some comment on how hard it was. The top scores of each puzzle and the winning numbers at the end of each month are basically the same people. You can watch them compete against each other as if they were olympians of the puzzles. I'm not a puzzle olympian anymore than I am a sports olympian or science olympian.

Play to have fun. This site has been here over 10 years and each puzzle has been played countless times. Your contribution to the statistic is not going to change the curve. We're here to play in the most delightful sense of the word.

In "my scores" you can compare this month's scores to last month's scores. That's what I focused on when I started, and still do. I am mostly in the average section of results, but I get more average points per game each month I play. Just play against yourself, and have fun. Especially with the language barrier. When I started, these puzzles were a bit harder than the ones I had done on paper before. I started on a smaller grid till I got used to the way this site uses the clues.
