    Pause button

I think this game needs a pause button. I always get horrendous scores because I go away from the puzzle.

That can't work though, because then anyone can start a game, pause it, figure the whole thing out, and then start the game and fill it in. Defeats the purpose of the timer entirely.

Well, you could design the pause menu to cover the clues and/or grid.

That doesn't really help: start a game, screenshot it, pause, figure the whole thing out, un-pause and fill it in.

But it's a common request, so you're in good company...

Okay, I have a better request: Timed mode (current) or Casual (no timer, no score, just for relaxation)

You can save your progress on the bottom and close your tab. If you return within x hours you can open it back up from your games in progress. I don't know what that does to the timer but it's an option for allowing you to close out.

I play my own "casual mode." I just play, casually, and don't worry about my time/score.
