I think the premium membership is worth the money. Two benefits for me: 1. the load time is better. The screen would not react until the load was finished. I would type with no result. this happened about once every third word sometimes in the middle of a word. It was very frustrating. Now I can play without the constant delays. 2. The ads are gone which free up the playing landscape. The ads did not bother me, but getting back the extra playing area is great. The word lists can all fit on the screen. No more scrolling up and down to see all the words in the puzzle. So glad I upgraded - this makes the puzzles more relaxing.

Do you feel the premium membership has also improved your solving speed or accuracy, now that the interface is smoother and ad-free? -
My speed definitely improved. I am working on the accuracy but my typing is just so so. On the larger grid puzzles I do not have to scroll to see the search words so this also improves my time.
I was really slow when I first started playing last summer, but as others mentioned the only way to really improve is to play. Over time you start to get a feel for the repeat words used, patterns and the best way to tackle each puzzle. I am still relatively slow compared to the player population but I enjoy playing.
