Is there any way to create a more comprehensive scoring rubric for this game?
It seems that no matter what my time I can never max above 350 points for a 16 x 16 puzzle. Several of us time well below the "fastest time" that the site claims and other than the self-imposed challenge of trying to beat other players' posted times, there really is no reward for completing these puzzles with any sort of speed. In order to rank on the monthly challenge it is just a matter of sheer number of games played instead of skill.
I play on the Logic Puzzles site as well, and the scoring system there seems to be a combination of max possible points and seconds taken to complete, so in order to be ranked there, you have to have skill as well as speed.
Just a thought. Not trying to get you guys to rewrite code for a whole website.
