Just happened again - this time a Toyota ad.

iOS - Apple iPhone. It happened again this morning, and lately it’s almost always a McDonalds ad. This time it popped up on the right side and didn’t cover the screen (see attached) but it still completely stops game play.

What phone and browser are you using, and if you can email me a screenshot that would help. I have been working with our ad provider on a solution for this issue - they installed new code yesterday that they said should fix this but clearly if you’re getting it this morning then it’s not been fixed.

Sorry this keeps happening - believe me I am as frustrated about it as you are.

This is getting ridiculous. Every morning I try to play and almost every morning my game gets waylaid by an ad, usually a McDonalds ad. Can you PLEASE fix this?

Thanks for your screenshot Martika - can you let me know what browser/operating system you're using?

I've reported the bad ad and bumped you up to Premium for a week (ad free) to remove the problem immediately while it is investigated by our ad company.

I 100% agree with you that these ads are unacceptable. It is doubly frustrating for me because we include code specifically on gameplay pages which is meant to block any sort of ad like this from appearing - but obviously this is not working 100% of the time, for all players. I will be working with them today to come up with a better solution.

    I guess it's my turn:
    Obscuring_ad.png

(It was a PECO ad, which is doubly infuriating, because we get spam calls from them all the time.)

This is literally the only site where I've ever seen this sort of badly-coded obscuring popup ad. There's got to be a way to get your ad provider to stop doing this to us.

Thank you MsBlue for posting those screenshots. I've sent those along to our ad provider now to get them removed ASAP. In the meantime I've bumped you up to premium, ad-free status for 1 week free of charge to hopefully eliminate the problem right away.

Still happening with ads coverings the whole screen. Has happened to each of my last 5-10 games. Very discouraging and annoying that the only option is to lose my in-progress game

Happening to me too. Annoying ad to visit Tennessee that covers almost the whole page and can't be removed. Doesn't go away until I refresh the page and reset my puzzle. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix it!!!

In the interim, if an ad makes you back out of a game, you can recover the game under the recent games tab. It'll still negatively impact your time I think, but at least you'll get to complete the puzzle.

Hadn’t happened in awhile, but got another McDonalds pop up ad blocking play this morning. I can’t upload the photo because the file size is too large, unfortunately.

Thanks Acustatic - I'm very sorry this keeps happening. I've bumped you back up to premium for the next week and have sent your screenshot to our ad provider. They said they were confident they had eliminated the source several days ago but obviously there's still someone on the network sending these bad ads.
