Surprising words not accepted

I just had the word "farters" rejected... who can convince me that that's not a word?

Just had the plural PHOTOHELIOGRAPHS accepted but the singular PHOTOHELIOGRAPH rejected.

that's because the dictionary this site uses doesn't support 15+ letter words, so it switched to a different one for 16-25 letter words. the two dictionaries are slightly different so sometimes only the plural or only the singular is accepted

I was so surprised to see that MINIMALIZE and MINIMALIZED weren't accepted. I checked SOWPODS and neither word is valid, yet they are valid words.

The difference in my mind is clear, though those words do appear in some dictionaries and not others.

Easings is not an English word--it's British............that said, a lot of foreign words are accepted here, some of which you wouldn't expect.........
