Sometimes, when you're getting hammered, it's gratifying to get one back.

Ps: has anyone ever lost strength in any of their fingers?
I was at the range and found I could no longer pull the trigger sufficiently to fire with any of the rifles or handguns I'd brought with me. Had to switch, first to the middle finger on my right hand, and then, because I'm left-eye dominant I could use the left hand with pistols.
And no, it's not trigger finger which manifests as fingers locking in place.
Must be something awry with the flexor digitorum profundus. But..
Just curious if anyone else has experienced anything like this. Kind of fascinating how the body can function then mysteriously malfunction enough to puzzle doctors. I know of possibly a dozen potential causes, but none really seem to apply. Guess I'll have to get some tests run. What an inconvenience.Comment

Alas, my wife lost strength in her fingers -- and some feeling, too. The feeling came first, I think, and the strength came after. The same happened in her feet. I would continue in more detail, but I think we'd better talk privately if those match what you're experiencing.
When I qualified with the rifle in Basic Training, I found that I could get best accuracy when I shot left-handed. The sergeants thought I could perhaps be a sniper. I wasn't quite that good, but the conditions on the qualification day weren't ideal -- 117 degrees, and with 10% of the company hauled away with heat exhaustion/heat stroke. I will note that I struck every one of the targets at 300 meters. I missed the short targets because the sweat ran into my eyes and I didn't have much time to wipe it away.
My personal problem now is with fingers and hands that shake badly. If I could write, I could write in five different scripts in as many languages. But I can't write any more. I probably couldn't shoot any more, either. My problem has nothing to do with strength. And, oddly enough, I can type reasonably well -- not nearly as fast as I once could, but okay.👍 1Comment
