Seems like a bunch of my go-to ultra-rares are now being scored as wide or common. I am going for high points-per-word right now, so points collapsing isn't that great. Anyone noticing this?

I've vaguely suspected that before, just based on my feeling that some words just weren't as "rare" as I thought they should be. I never had any proof & decided it was my imagination. I don't know where they get their rareness from, so it is possible that's updated over time.
By the way, congrats on your showing last month! I remember that you were shooting for the top 20. -
I got curious about this after your post. Since I can't go back in time (no matter how hard I try), I just looked at all the best word lists going back to last January. It looks like those include all best words (by player) of 16 or more points. None of those have changed point values (and thus rarity) over that time. If they do update rarity, it's on lower-scoring words.Comment
