Naboka, yesterday afternoon I started outlining a short story based on the topic heading. I will change the names but keep my connection to seeing and reading that original post. The gist will be this masquerade ball we all mingle at. We have our mask (game screen name) and this mystery that surrounds each of us.

Just to move this discussion off Miriam's tribute.

    Good luck on your writing.

    Mystery has its own spectrum.

Not all mysteries are created equal.

    Sort of like sex.

Everyone is born with a certain degree of sexuality, but some people exude it, while others are almost the opposite end of the magnet.

Life itself is a mystery, and each of us, being alive, is filled with that mystery. Whether we try to understand it or not.

It's as if there are mundane mysteries and esoteric mysteries.

Mysteries that elude even the gods and angels.

    Mysteries that draw us in,

    mysteries that push us away.

Certain individuals radiate mysteriousness. There's something magnetically compelling about them that makes us wonder. As if they have some secret hidden away that the rest of us have always yearned to experience.

Even wearing masks, some will be more mysterious than others.

    Why?

    Dunno.

    It's a mystery.

A friend of mine calls some of my short stories "prose haikus" because he considers them to be ripples in the water. What caused the ripple and where is the ripple going to.
