Highest # of rare or ultra-rare words?

Sorry for intruding on your post, but I just had to tell someone. I got excited because I just finished a 4x4 with the word "coniferous" as the new longest word on a puzzle that had already been played 40 times. It's fun to get a record word, even better when 40 other players failed to come up with it.

Like always: just a bunch of easy and common words we see over and over again on boards.

If you master these simple words, your scores will improve.

Since it was a new board, didn't get a chance to learn what others had found. Probably some long words I didn't see.

Oh well.

haven't done one of these in a while. haven't even been trying. this one happened by chance. my fingers have been giving me grief and haven't cooperated for a couple of weeks. it's been a pain in the watusi trying to type accurately--at any speed, slow or fast.

Wish I had lists like this when I first started. Sure would have made progress easier and faster. You're going to run across most of these words over and over and over. Might as well master them.

I had at least 20-30 more UR words quequed up but didn't have time to type them. One of the problems with boards that have 200 plus UR words that are common.

Does anyone else experience a string of absolutely horrible games that leave you in despair? Where you can't manage to type to save your soul. Then out of nowhere it's all working again?

Happens to me frequently. After several games of frustrating self destruction, I decided not to go to bed until I had a decent game. This was the next game up. Tied my highest number of UR words.

The brain is a strange thing. Guess it wanted to get some sleep.
