    On this very day, 59 years ago, I was inducted into the US Army. A bit more than two months later, Basic Training having concluded, I married my wife -- the best single decision of my life. Milestones!

          Thanks, everyone! I appreciate all the kind words. As far as making it to our 60th anniversary, we have to stay alive until August 6, 2026. My wife was pretty seriously ill again this April (seems to be an annual thing now) and is still recovering (at home) from her hospital stay, but things seem good right now. I hope that doesn't mean that I'll be next. Old age sucks, but it beats the alternative.
