    The Dilemma

For over a month I've realized I was going to hit 12345 best word records. What an incredibly fun number. It's the first sequence we memorize in learning numbers.

Now that I've reached it, I don't want to change it. I'm just gonna let it sit.

I've been playing a lot of games to find best words and just dumping them when I did. When I hit 12344, I toyed with the idea of finding a really spectacular word as the final one.

But, that got tedious. And just because a word is long doesn't make it spectacular--including the -izations. Lot of short words can fill us with amazement and insights.

Consequently, my last board was interesting but nothing stellar.

I entertained the notion of pursuing the plus 30 points average, but...

(An acquaintance actually took that climb. Said it was the most miserable experience in his life. His dreams of exceptionalism collapsed into a tourist trap from Hell.)

The last item on my Wordtwist bucket list is to record a 37 point word. That will most likely happen piggybacking off another's find so it won't add a best words record. After that...

to play or not to play

    that is the question.

    What do you think?

Naboka, I admire your skill and perseverance. I like big words and fun stats as well. However, I would urge you to ask yourself: why are you playing the game at this point? Are you still having fun? If so, why would you stop? If you do stop playing in order to preserve a perfect stat page, your name will show up less and less in the stars of boards others will come across, and eventually fewer people will come across your perfect stat page.
If you are the person who is most likely to derive pleasure from your stats, the easiest solution would be to take a screenshot, print it out, frame it, and keep playing as long as you're still having fun.
Additionally, I believe lalatan once tracked his own stats manually and suspected that the game stats weren't 100% accurate and sometimes changed when boards got recycled. I don't know if that was a bug that got fixed, but it would be disappointing to stop because of a number and then that number changed.

Another solution to your dilemma would be to create a new account and pursue whichever goal you can think of under a new name.

Lastly, 12345 is an extremely impressive number, not just due to the pleasing sequence. The amount of time and dedication that got you to this number is incredible. I salute you!
