Is there any way of pausing a puzzle in case you have to step away? It keeps accruing time, and it's really messing up my stats.

You can close the app, then when you return, log back in and click on 'recent games' to restart your puzzle - but you can only do that within, I believe, a ten minute period. After that it's gone.

I don't think there is a method for what you are looking for -- to hit pause, step away, then come back and resume. I assume your motivations are above board, but others would abuse such a feature by pausing, googling the answer, then resuming.

I worked a puzzle, solved and submitted it in about 600 seconds. But my time recorded 17,000 plus. It has happened before. I was puzzling in the very early morning, I wonder if the site goes through an upload/refresh and I got affected.

Did you check your “recent games” list? I have finished and submitted a puzzle and walked away but for some reason when i came back the clock seemed to have kept running. When I checked the “recent game” table it listed my correct time, not the super long one.

just enjoy t he puzzles. there are 'experts' here who have managed to find a way to solve puzzles, recall them and type in their solution as fast as their fingers can fly. What satisfaction is gives them to demonstrate that there is a way to do that, you will have to try to imagine. In other words, "So What", as Miles Davis told us with his trumpet. The real fun, the only real fun, is solving the puzzles.
