  • Anyone else been playing this game for years?

Hello! I'm making a forum post here because whenever I think about or play this game, I am always reminded of how it's been at the background of my life for so many years. I started playing puzzle baron when I was in high school, I played it through college, and I still play it now that I have graduated. So, I have been playing on this site for at least 8 years, maybe 12.

I'm posting in circuits because it is probably my best game. I also play numbergrids (nonograms) a lot, puzzle baron was my introduction to nonograms and they are one of my favorite puzzles. My third favorite is jigsaw puzzles, I do those when I want something less logic based.

Anyway, my point with this post is to say that it's funny how this site has been part of my life for so many years, and how puzzle baron circuits are probably one of the things that I'm best at, since I've put in so many hours, but because it's just a puzzle site and the games aren't like chess or e-sports, I don't really think about the games much unless I'm playing them, and I don't really talk about them like they're my hobbies or anything. I've just been playing puzzle baron in the background while I watch youtube/television, or when I'm in between doing things, or on the phone with someone, and it's like a constant, silent companion.

I've also been seeing a lot of your usernames over and over again, through the years, and I often wonder about the people behind the usernames, those of us who clearly spend a lot of time playing this game. So, what's your story with puzzle baron? Do you ever wish that you could make money off of circuit puzzles the way people make money off of chess? Do you have friends that also play? Do you have a ritual with puzzle baron games, like it's your morning or nighttime routine to play a few to relax?

Number one tip is to do the outside pieces first, the logic to solve them is simpler and helps you with the next pieces. Once you get in the middle bits, just look for pieces that can only have one solution, like bulbs with only one possible connecting piece, or the straight pieces a lot of the time. If you're solving a section and are not sure about it, just immediately move on to somewhere else, it will probably make more sense with the rest of the puzzle solved. Also, if you're not solving using both the mouse buttons, start doing that and you'll solve them in less moves.

I hope that helps, thanks for the compliment also lol, I am glad to see I am not alone!
