They only seem to show one puzzler under fastest time, so unless they are capturing fractional seconds, I'd guess they are listing the first person with that time.
I think post crash. There do seem to be some new folks with some very fast scores at times.
Just finished a puzzle in 16 seconds that bansaisequoia did in 10 seconds. At 16 seconds my score was 447, I suspect he may have gotten a better score.
Maradnu, as a matter of fact, I did hit a score of 448 on this quote. "There is nothing certain, but the uncertain." It's my only 10-second time, but I have hit the 11-second mark 3 times. I don't recall what the scores were on those quotes. Now to work on breaking the 9-second barrier!
Still cute, and very appropriate for the upcoming holiday.
I can't change mine....my cat likes his picture up on this site.
On a different note, I just solved a puzzle in 33 sec. that bansaisequoia (sp?) had the record time on of 13 seconds. Holy fast solving time!!!!!! Seriously...I have my doubts I'll ever get one in under 15 seconds unless my typing and mouse skills are vastly improved. Still, I'm enjoying trying! And I do get a little thrill when I see my name as the fastest, or when I break the record. I recently broke my OWN record on a crypto, lol!
I hit a couple where I had the record... maybe 30 seconds.... and it took me 45 or 60 seconds to solve it again.... well duh! I must be getting dumber. I can't even recall solving them. I just move on to the next one and don't even read most of them. I have had quite a few which I solved in 20 seconds, or 25 seconds, and I am sure it must be a record, but someone else has solved it in 19 or 18 seconds!
Me too. The dumber part, I mean. I think sometimes it all depends on my frame of mind. Some days I can whip through these things and some days I feel like my head is filled with pencil shavings. I guess I could chalk it up to lack of sleep, too much sleep, too many drinks the night before, or any number of things. Who knows?
Yesterday I got the SLOWEST score on one of the cryptos.... 800 some seconds. I REALLY felt my brain was turning to mush then!
"Proclaim not all thou knowest, all thou hast, nor all thou cans't." by Benny the Frank took me 4474 seconds for 10 points and reduced by solving time from my all time best of 79 seconds to 111.6 The really sad part is I had just set a record time on the quote before. Oh well.
