Pulling Xs is skipping lately

Is this happening to anyone else? I play in Chrome, and just in the past week, when I hold down my mouse button to pull a row or column of Xs, the first one or two squares are skipped and left open. This never used to happen. Is it a software glitch, or is something wrong with my browser?

Heh. It had been happening to me for the past four days, but now, shortly after I wrote my OP, it's no longer happening. Either someone in charge of such things fixed it, or it fixed itself because it wanted to embarrass me.

This used to happen to me all the time before I got the ad-free membership. Certain ads make the browser freeze up - not totally, and not so'd you'd notice if you were, like, reading something, but enough to make this game glitchy.

That's interesting. Recently, Chrome deemed the ad-blocker uBlock Origin outdated and no longer supported. I tried uBlock and uBlock Origin Lite but found that neither worked as well as uBlock Origin, so I reactivated uBlock Origin. This is probably what's causing the problem. I've been very naughty by using an ad-blocker. Now I'm being punished :|
