Wines missing characters

The puzzle that's been completely solved zero times on the theme of wines has some problems with characters showing as black diamonds with a question mark in them.
I found both wines with these marks, and they got checked off as found, but in the ending screen, they had big red X's next to them.

The problem wines are albar?o (shown) and rosé, I believe (shown in the grid but not in the list).

Still a problem. With 20 seconds left, I somehow finished the puzzle but found only 17/18 words. PLEASE FIX!
