So... Before I found this board (played 13 times, records held by good players) the best word was a 15-pointer.

Was my best board this month at nearly 600 points, but didn't break the total points or total words record.

Way to go on that record! I was hoping to get a 2500+ point game. 2,600+ is excellent. I gotta get better at those Q and Z words. I'm hoping for an improvement to my own record soon. Gonna be hard to beat 2,622.

It looks like my screenshot post didn't get approved. But anyway, I was happy to set a new PB of 2622 on 286 words, about a 160pt increase on my previous 5x5 best.

It still could probably be improved a decent amount, since the "Quantizer" boards offer so much value and I still missed a few big combos, but this was a pretty solid performance for sure.

Hey everyone, I haven't been playing much lately and I'm sorry the first thing I do upon my return to the forums is brag... I did see that there were some more serious posts made lately, but I'm not in the right mindset to join in right now. Sending my best wishes to everyone

As some of you may know, I usually try to beat best or longest words records if I can, not too terribly concerned with the actual score at the moment.
I just managed to beat the best word record not once, but multiple times in a game that had been played 15 times.
Because I played so few total words, I managed to get most of the stats in the screenshot:

I haven't posted much before, but I thought this was worth a mention in this thread. There are several ways to play this game as everybody knows. I am a lousy typist, so going for the most words or the most points is silly in my case. I play for the record longest word. Early on, I recognized that a 16- or 15-letter ward was a record that could not be broken, so I started keeping track of the ones I found. It's easier to find a 16-letter word if you know that there is one, so I never play boards where somebody else has such a record, and I don't repeat my own 15- or 16-letter words either - always a "clean" board. I just reached my goal - 1,000 15- and 16-letter words! Now the plan is to spend less time on this game....

It might seem odd to consider 236 points and 49 words an accomplishment, but there were only 53 words in this board. I think for sure that's my highest proportion of words found to words available.

Saw that lalatan had gotten a 16/30 word so was looking for it first. Found it quickly enough to run off a string of red (UR) words. More often than not, if I look for the longest word first I end up running out of time and dump the board.

Part of a healthy mindset is to do onto others, and I've always appreciated hints, strategies and helps that other players have offered, so ...

Here's another red board with the twist that the list begins with a 16/30. Most of these are common and wide UR words. You're just gonna run into them over and over and over, so it's good to have them memorized if getting higher scores is important.

I mistyped a few that didn't show up, like ritts, ritting, stinge, tinger, retime and retimes. They show up a lot also.
