      The author, David McCullough, who wrote that John Adams biography that was a runaway bestseller, was considering writing a bio of Pablo Picasso in 1982. After doing some research, he decided to scrap the project, because he found Picasso to be "a repellent human being."

                      When I google "Coleman Hawking," the number one response has to do with "Coleman Hawkins." I have a box set of 10 CDs sitting on my office desk by this jazz legend from the 1930s, who was a pioneer in jazz improvisation, so I have to believe that this quote was really said by him (if anyone)

                        It's interesting to note that this quote was uttered by a one-time Vice President of the US, who engaged in a duel with Alexander Hamilton which brought about his death. Some years later, he was brought before Justice John Marshall on charges of treason.
