It's the other way around. We have so many fat people who cry that the thin are taking advantage of them, and that they need more fat.

A study by the World Institute for Development Economics Research at United Nations University reports that the richest 1% of adults alone owned 40% of global assets in the year 2000. This is in effect saying that 1% of the population works 66 times as hard as 99% of the population. If you believe that, keep on voting to give tax breaks to the wealthy. I ain't such a sucka.

Anywhere you have a stimulating introduction, it's a good idea to have prophylactics.

How small are the snakes in England? For that matter, how big are the bees?

Aw... I've been bitten by them a few times during feeding days (my fault though... I didn't wash my hands well enough after I handled the mouse). They are just small corn snakes and the bite is like a needle pricking you... It's the sudden strike that scares the hell out of you...

I'm not sure about the stinging snakes, but George was probably an expert about self-love. He doted on himself.

I don't see any team spirit in self-love. I agree with abra about George being an expert in it.

I was Kat once upon a time, and I am bringing it back 'round to stinging snakes, and in tribute to our fallen companion in cryptograms, Leapin' Lizards. Bansai - cheers to you wherever you may be. Your brilliant light is missed.

Searching the net, this quote seems to have first been said by John Derek in the 1949 film, Knock On Any Door." In the movie, the quote was, "Live fast, die young, and leave a beautiful corpse." It also may have been in the 1947 novel of the same name by Willard Motely. I just remember this line because Christian Slater and Val Kilmer say it in Quentin Tarantino's "True Romance."

He wrote the screenplay to "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension," from which this quote is taken.

In my experience, someone who directs one space opera movie, which spawns 5 sequels, two of which weren't directed by him, and who has a net worth of $3 billion, damn well ought to believe in luck. Howard the Duck. What a great film.Last edited by Toeprint; 09-22-2021, 08:31 AM.

There's an irony to government officials making statements of this nature, because they're decrying their own incompetence, thereby invalidating the substance of their statement.
