I'm not too crazy about snakes, rats,, rougue elephants, lions, tigers and bears either. For that matter,if I don't know a dog I fear it too. David was much braver than I, but he had a point about mankind.

I've never seen rouge elephants, but sometimes I see pink elephants. And I could swear I saw a singing purple dinosaur on TV.

Lawrence was a fine writer but a lousy zoologist. Fear is a primal instinct, rampant in the animal kingdom.

Yes, but I think he was saying man is the only one that really needs to be feared. From the point of view of the planet, he was certainly right.

        CCCookie on 2016-05-02 23:07:27
The female of EVERY species is more dangerous than the males of that species. Just threaten my children, family, home, and see. I may not be STRONGER that the males, but put me and others like me together and you'd be appalled what we can accomplish. There are reasons that some human males go to great lengths to keep women separated from other women. LOL

You don't necessarily have to have your own children to know how true this is. Much easier to borrow a child from a sibling, or a friend or neighbor. I just loved giving my nephew that drum set !!
