I've taken the liberty to leave out some of the comments, but only because I went to utube to find out WHY it made Monty laugh!! It's there, in 3 separate parts....and WELL worth the watching, folks! I can't thank Monty enough for making that singular comment. I haven't laughed that much in a long time! Anna was a truly gifted pianist, singer and comic.....I'd go to the opera every night if she was still around!!!

Picking up on the classical music commentary

gryhnd51, I checked the videos of Anna Russell -- she was great!! Her approach reminds me a little of "New Horizon's in Music Appreciation," in which Peter Schickele (PDQ Bach) acts as the baseball-style commentator on a performance of Beethoven's 5th Symphony. oddcouple: This is great - I forget nearly all the comments, including my own, which is one reason I wanted to make this thread. What I do remember is looking up the spelling for "sauerkraut."

But what really strikes me in this one is personal: The date on my comment was just a few days after I had left my job, where I had felt frustrated for a long time. The image of my glowing self stored and hidden away in a sealed bottle was pretty apt for how I was feeling! And to think I was only joking.
